Matcha Oreo Cheesecake

You can choose to form this recipe into whatever you like: cupcakes, entire round cake, or cut into smaller squares. The recipe is all the same.

  • Ingredients:
  • Crust:
    • 12 Oreos, crushed
      50g butter, melted

    Cheesecake:

    • 2 packages of cream cheese, softened to room temperature
    • 3/4 cup white sugar
    • 1/4 tsp salt
    • 1 tsp vanilla extract
    • 2 large eggs
    • 1/4 cup sour cream
    • 4 tsps matcha (adjust to your preference)
    • 12 Oreos, crushed

    Directions:

    1. Line your pan with parchment/baking paper (or cupcake liners if you’re making them into cupcakes).

    Crust:

    1. Preheat oven to 300F.
    1. Mix the crushed Oreos and melted butter, then spread evenly into your pan. Pat down gently. Bake your crust in the preheated oven for 10mins (this makes your crust crunchy).
    2. Remove from oven and fill with cheesecake filling.

    Cheesecake:

    1. In a large bowl, beat the cream cheese until creamy. Then add sugar, salt and vanilla. Mix thoroughly.
    2. Slowly add in eggs and sour cream. Beat until smooth.
    3. Fold in the matcha and mix until incorporated. (You can add in any extra crushed Oreos at this stage if you like for more Oreo flavour).
    4. Pour the batter into the pan over your crust and bake for 18-22mins. They should be firm but still slightly wobble in the middle when done. Sift some additional matcha overtop for decoration or top with whipped cream.
