This is probably the quickest and easiest dessert that I’ve ever made. They’re pretty rich but so yummy. You only need 3 ingredients!
Recipe adapted from: https://www.allrecipes.com/recipe/127491/easy-oreo-truffles/
Ingredients:
- 1 package (2 rolls/16oz) of Oreo cookies (~45 cookies)
- 1 (8oz) package of cream cheese, softened
- 250g (8oz) of semi-sweet baking chocolate
Directions:
- Melt the baking chocolate in a glass bowl over a pot of boiling water on the stove. Mix until completely melted and smooth. Set aside to cool.
- Topping: put 9 Oreo cookies in the food processor and blend until they’re fine crumbs (you can alternatively crush them in a plastic bag with a rolling pin if you don’t have a food processor). Set aside.
- Put the remaining 36 cookies in the food processor and blend until they’re crumbs (slightly bigger than in step 1). Put the crumbs in a medium bowl. Add cream cheese and mix until blended (don’t over mix if you want your truffles to have a crunch to them).
- Roll the cookie mixture into bite-sized 1 inch balls.
- Dip each ball in the melted chocolate and place on a baking sheet covered with parchment paper.
- Refrigerate balls until firm (~1hr). Enjoy!
Note:
- Make sure the cream cheese is completely softened before you start otherwise you will get clumps of cream cheese in your truffles!
