Servings: 1 large pizza (divide dough in half for two smaller pizzas)
Ingredients:
- 2-2.5 cups flour
- 1 package (0.25oz = 7g = 2.25tsp) of active dry yeast
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tbsp white sugar
- 1 cup warm water
Directions:
- Combine yeast, sugar and warm water in a large bowl. Mix and let it sit for 5 mins until frothy.
- In another bowl, combine flour and salt.
- Gradually add the flour mix to the yeast water half cup at a time, making sure the mixture is smooth before adding the next cup. If the dough is a little wet at the end, add more flour. Set aside with a tea towel over the bowl for 20-30mins until the dough has doubled in size.
- Roll out onto baking tray and top as desired.
- Bake on 175˚C for ~15-20 mins, depending on your oven.
Notes:
- Some recipes call this dough bland ad suggest adding 1 tsp garlic and 1 tsp basil in the mixture in step 1.
